The problem
Each hackathon presented a real-world problem: AI video generation for brand content, media literacy through visual tools, data analysis for social media, and plant disease detection for farmers.
My process
Ideated, prototyped, and pitched all 4 products within tight timeframes. Used Python, ML models, and rapid Figma prototyping to go from concept to demo.
The outcome
Won 1st place at ComCom Ideadrome (30 participants), Jury's Favorite at ForSet Media Hackathon, 1st place at AgTech Hackathon, and 1st place at Georgia's Innovation & Technology Agency Data Bootcamp.
Key decisions
- Focused each pitch on the user problem first, technology second
- Used existing ML APIs to prototype faster rather than building from scratch
- Designed demos for non-technical judges — clear narrative over complex tech
